Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), also called 2-Step Verification, is an extra layer of protection used to ensure the security of online accounts beyond just a username and password. You will be asked for a unique code (generated by an authenticator app) every time you log in.

1. Install an authenticator app

To generate 2FA codes you need to install an authenticator app (usually on your phone) if you don't have one already. Some popular choices are:

• Microsoft Authenticator
• Google Authenticator
• Twilio Authy
• Duo Mobile
2. Scan the QR code with the app

Do not use your phone's camera app! Start your authenticator app and scan the QR code to add your Disk & Tape account. You may need to click a "+" or an "Add account" button first, depending on the app.

3. Enter the confirmation code

Enter the six-digit code from your authenticator app. Note that the code expires every 30 seconds. Enter the currently displayed code only.
